This group of paintings titled "Floating Connections" came about after I moved to Beacon, NY. While I was commuting on the train, through the landscape of the Hudson River, I was mesmerized by the visual effect of motion in relationship to the spaciousness of clouds, light and shadows, in the space of mountains with the river. So, I started making collages while on the train, playing with this simultaneous sensation of both floating past nature and connecting within nature.
